Top three color palettes for your bridesmaids
Following our previous post regarding bridesmaids dresses where we gave you five important guidelines on how to choose them, we decided to talk a little bit more about third item in our post: Color palette
When you do your research over the internet you will find that all these beautiful images are obtained from a professional photo shoot, yes they are from real weddings and some of them are from designer’s campaigns but you will ask yourself how to get the same final result…
Now we will try to help you in our way, simple as much as possible.
In keeping with our efforts to maintain simplicity on this specific subject we will separate the most popular colors from this season in three groups, and these groups will be connected to your wedding style or theme.
1. Pastels (blush, pistachio and mint, aquamarine or glacier gray)
Pastels are perfect for outdoor weddings, that’s why this palette is the most popular during the spring and summer season. Pastels are the symbol for gentle and romantic, so if you plan to have your wedding during this season and if it’s outdoor, pastels are good choice for you. These shades will serve to enhance the natural colors in the beautiful backdrop of your venue. These colors are easy to incorporate in to a vintage themed wedding, especially if your favorite era was the ’40s or ’60s from a time gone by and also it’s perfect for shabby chic wedding.
2. Vibrant ( turquoise, coral, yellow )
These colors are bright and strong, so we could say ‘statement colors’ and they could easily dominate for your wedding theme. But don’t be frightened of them, just because they are ‘statement colors’ that means that you can put less decoration for your wedding theme. Sometimes less is more! Late summer wedding, modern minimalistic style with contrasts, vintage pin up style or happy ’70s
3. Dark (purple, marsala , dark blue, gold & black)
At least but not any less important are these dark colors, we don’t want to call them ‘dark’ but it was the easiest way to group these colors. If we say that they are symbols for elegance that doesn’t mean that the other colors can’t be classed in the same category, and believe it or not they can be in combination with each color from the previous groups. But we don’t want to expand this subject too much, we will leave it for another blog post another time.
For now we will say that these colors can easily be chosen for a winter and autumn wedding, vintage art deco style, autumn barn wedding or contemporary wedding.
