Pantone Color of the Year 2016
Last year Pantone introduce to us a warm and exotic marsala and we loved it – clothing, decorations, interiors…everywhere, and for this year – they’ve doubled it…
We already know that Pantone announce the colour of the year around the middle of December, and for 2016 they gave us a surprise : it’s not ‘a’ colour of the year, it’s more like ‘colours of the year’ – yes, yes, it’s plural. So for 2016 we have two colours, but as they said at the Pantone institute, together they represent an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue. The leading idea from the Pantone institute for these two colours is to create an antidote for modern day stresses, welcoming colours that psychologically fulfil our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent.
Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure.
Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times.
Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace- as they say
We are hoping that you will find inspiration in these two colours and create a balance as for your wedding day just as for your marriage – enjoy
