Yeroskipou Town Hall

Yeroskipou town hall is situated a short drive north east of Paphos. The name of the village translates as ‘holy garden’ and, according to mythology, it was visited by Aphrodite, goddess of love. Just think what a perfect setting Yeroskipou could make for your wedding! The town hall has a fabulous view of the sea and has an attractive, spacious outdoor setting so you don’t need to worry about limiting guest numbers.
It’s worth noting that May and September are prime months for outdoor weddings, with glorious Mediterranean weather.

The Ceremony

A civil ceremony at Yeroskipou Town Hall starts with a CD rendition of ‘Here Comes the Bride’ if the couple wants a traditional touch for the bride’s entry. The marriage officer joins the ceremony after the bride arrives.

Of course, you are free to personalise your choice of music for both the entry of the bride and the exit of the newlyweds and guests.
The ceremony lasts approximately eight minutes.

There is no restriction on who can give the bride away. However, two witnesses, each over the age of 18, need to attend. The witnesses can be chosen by you, the couple. If you do not have any witnesses, two will be provided by the Town Hall and Ido Cyprus Wedding Planners.

Ceremonies at Yeroskipou Town Hall can take place between 8:30am and 2pm from Monday toFriday

Wedding Certificate

After a civil ceremony, the marriage licence is issued immediately. The document is in English and does not need to be altered in any way nor registered on your return to the UK. The wedding certificate can be used to make changes with any official documents, such as passports or bank information, if necessary.

Ido Weddings would suggest that you obtain an extra copy of the licence on your wedding day. The current cost for this is €13.67

Necessary Documents

Prior to your wedding day, Ido Cyprus Wedding Planners will assist you with all documentation required in order for the ceremony to take place.
The current cost of a compulsory marriage licence fee and ceremony is €281.92.

For afternoon ceremonies held at the town hall with a private registrar, there is an additional cost of €145.23 plus the marriage licence fee of €281.92

The location of this outdoor ceremony at Yeroskipou is really something special. There is a laid-back feel to this venue that blends well with an elegance that complements the importance of the occasion.
There are fabulous photo and video opportunities at this romantic and traditional Mediterranean venue. Ido Cyprus Wedding Planners strongly advises professional photography and video services for the best records and memories.

Following the marriage there will be time for further photos or video and guests can throw confetti to wish the newlyweds all the best.
It is very important for couples to bear in mind that it is an outdoor ceremony and this should be taken into consideration when choosing the time of year and day for the ceremony.

The balmy temperature in May and September is ideal and should there be unlikely bad weather on the day of your ceremony you can relax as there are also indoor facilities.

For ceremonies which take place at hotel/gardens from 3pm onwards the charge is €350.26 plus the marriage licence fee of €281.92. Such ceremonies need to take place within the jurisdiction of Yeroskipou Town Hall.
Please note that ceremonies are not held at the town hall or hotel/grounds on Thursday afternoons if the hotel is under the jurisdiction of Yeroskipou.
