St. George Wedding Chapel

St George Chapel in Paphos is one of the most charming and atmospheric venues in Cyprus. It boasts a stunning interior of frescoes and offers fantastic views overlooking the Mediterranean. It was originally built as an orthodox Chapel but the church of Cyprus kindly gave permission for Anglican or Catholic ceremonies to be performed here by the relevant church officials from the UK.
It is approximately a 15-minute drive from the centre of Paphos and built within the grounds of the St George Hotel. The chapel is air-conditioned and can seat up to 22 guests and has standing room for many more.
If you choose a chapel ceremony it should reflect your values and beliefs about marriage as this is a religious ceremony and will be conducted accordingly.
Thanks to the décor of this beautiful chapel it offers fabulous photo and video opportunities during the ceremony. Ido Cyprus Wedding Planners strongly advises professional photography and video services for the best records and memories.
Following the marriage there will be opportunities for more photos and videos outside the chapel where confetti throwing is welcome, before heading back to the hotel or venue of choice.

A non-refundable deposit of £340.00 payable to the Anglican Church is required in order to secure your booking.
The remaining balance of £340.00 is paid upon arrival in Cyprus.
Catholic ceremony fees £600.00, fees unconfirmed for 2010.
From the year 2010, the fee will increase by £50.00 as confirmed by the Anglican church.
This fee is set by the church and municipality. No extra charges are incurred by I Do Wedding Company to our customers for the service fee and compulsory marriage licence.

Booking your Cyprus wedding at St George chapel in advance is essential. The busiest months for the St George chapel are May and September as the temperatures are normally at their most pleasant during this time of year.
Ceremonies are conducted from Monday to Friday.
Catholic ceremonies take place at the St George chapel on a Monday or Tuesday and Anglican ceremonies are conducted on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Weddings are held in the afternoon, each day between 1pm and 5pm.
Either ceremony may also be conducted during the winter period.
