Bridesmaids, and how to make it works…
It’s much easier and far less stressful if you have a small, intimate romantic wedding without huge wedding party and ceremony, but still… there is something in that big crowd of people who will be around you during your wedding preparation and wedding day, and certainly as a bride you can maybe loose your mind with all of them on several occasions! If that’s the case you should remember that they are here for you and you have chosen them because they mean something in your life and you love them.
If you follow this guide line whilst you choosing them, then even if you have testing moments during your wedding preparation it can easily end with a smile 🙂
Just in case if things starts to become frayed, remember that you should all stay friends (or relatives) even after you say ‘I DO’!. This doesn’t mean that you should give up on your idea of a dream wedding just because you want to avoid drama, a dream wedding is a result of lots planning whilst both feet are on the ground and not with your head in dream cloud 🙂
So if end up loosing your touch with reality somewhere in glitter and silk this is what you should read if you want to stay in touch with your bridesmaids:
1. Let them know what do you expect?
It’s very important to have this straight up from the start, do you expect from them to be with you in each part of your wedding planning or just for wedding day?.
2. Your Dream Wedding doesn’t have to be a financial nightmare to them
Bachelorette party, bridal shower, accessories, dress…keep costs manageable, whether you look for less expensive dresses or help them find affordable flights and hotels. And remember: If you’re requiring your bridesmaids to get their hair and makeup done, it’s pretty much a given you’ll be the one paying.
3. They also want to look great and feel comfortable.
Chose dresses together, for you as a bride it’s enough to hint to them or provide them with a color palette and wedding theme but let them chose their own model that will fit their body types so together they will look good on your wedding photos!
4. Say ‘Thank You’
You should not forget that all of them may also have limited time outside of your wedding 🙂 but they will find time to help you with the little things such as packing all of the favors! And the big things such as assisting you with the dress fitting making them feel special and an important part of your day.
